Playwright Eva Janek's long-buried childhood secret is turning her dream of opening night on Broadway into a nightmare of mayhem and murder. Played out in a Broadway Theatre during the fall of 1949, AMARA follows the last week of rehearsals of the play within the play, Janek’s “Dance with Death.” But as the production churns toward opening night, a dark edge of foreboding is emerging. As the curtain rises for the final dress, Eva’s secret is suddenly unleashed. The revelation is so devastating, it is about to kill her.

When Christine discovers within herself the power of healing, she has no choice but to leave Mickey and go to the desert to learn the ancient ways of her people.
